Celtic captain Scott Brown has insisted that his side are thoroughly deserving of their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Hoops beat Spartak Moscow 2-1 at Parkhead on Wednesday night to make sure that they would be in the knockout stage of the competition for the first time since 2008.
"It's fantastic," Brown told Sky Sports News. "The lads worked so hard.
"For the last five minutes we never thought the game was going to end but it's credit where credit's due; we worked really hard, we created chances and we scored goals.
"We knew we were good at home and the fans were just phenomenal – they kept us going the whole 90 minutes."
Celtic will find out who they will face in the next round of the Champions League when the draw is made on December 20.
