Celtic and Rangers to join British Super League?

:Headline: Celtic and Rangers to join British Super League?:
Celtic and Rangers are reportedly part of plans for a new British Super League, which would be backed by the Government despite the recent European Super League fiasco.

Celtic and Rangers are allegedly involved in plans for a new British Super League with Premier League clubs.

The 'Big Six' Premier League sides confirmed their intentions to join a breakaway European Super League on Sunday night, but all six clubs had withdrawn from the highly controversial tournament 48 hours later.

However, the English teams supposedly still believe that the Premier League needs to be revamped, and a proposed 'British Super League' with Celtic and Rangers is thought to have been put on the table.

One club source told The Sun: "Whether or not the Super League was going to happen, we all feel that the Premier League has to be changed and improved. It is time we opened it up to Rangers and Celtic. That would make sense for everyone."

While the European Super League was condemned by fans, players, managers and government officials, the report adds that a British Super League would not be met with such backlash and is likely to be given the blessing of FIFA, UEFA and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Celtic and Rangers themselves would supposedly be willing to join the initiative, while other clubs in Scotland would relish the opportunity to challenge for the title should the two powerhouses leave. body check tags ::
