Celtic have eased to a 2-0 lead over Dundee at half time in their Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park this evening.
The home side were on the attack from the start as Emilio Izaguirre played the ball across the face of goal for Leigh Griffiths just a few minutes into the contest, but the striker could only fire the ball wide.
Dundee were soon pressing down the other end though as Willie Dyer played the ball though to Jim McAlister, but Virgil van Dijk was on hand to get the ball away for the defending Scottish champions.
Ronny Deila's side wanted a penalty when Stefan Johansen appeared to be brought down in the box by Kevin Thomson, but referee Bobby Madden ruled it a fair challenge.
The hosts were ahead just a few minutes later though as Izaguirre played the ball in for Griffiths again, and this time the striker managed to outjump Thomas Konrad to head the ball past Scott Bain.
It did not take Celtic long to double the advantage as Griffiths and Kris Commons linked up on the edge of the box before the latter squared the ball to Scott Brown, leaving the captain to sweep the ball in from the centre of the box.
Izaguirre was involved again before the break after a move from Gary Mackay-Steven, but the midfielder's shot was deflected behind, before he blasted the ball over from the resulting corner.
