Ronny Deila praises Kris Commons for his performance in Celtic's 5-0 win over Dundee United days after criticising the player over his reaction to being substituted.

Ronny Deila has praised Kris Commons's performance during Celtic's 5-0 thrashing of Dundee United.

Commons netted twice in the victory, just days after an outburst during a Europa League defeat to Molde.

"He creates things all the time and he worked hard defensively," Deila told BBC Sport.

"He put in a good performance and I'm happy that we have him for one-and-a-half years more.

"He has always been an important player for Celtic. He has done so well in so many matches."

Deila had previously criticised Commons following his outburst.
