Celtic manager Ronny Deila has expressed his delight after Kris Commons signed a new contract with the Scottish giants.
The midfielder, whose previous deal would have expired at the end of the season, has penned fresh terms on a two-year contract.
"I am really pleased that Kris has committed his future to the club," Deila told the club's official website.
"He is someone who has already made a great contribution to Celtic and I am sure he will continue to be a very important player for us as we work hard to bring our fans the success they deserve."
Commons, who was linked to Bolton Wanderers and Leicester City, has scored 74 goals in 175 appearances.
