Celtic manager Ronny Deila has praised his players for working hard to beat Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premiership.
The champions marked their return from a recent break in Gran Canaria with a 2-0 win at New Douglas Park on Saturday.
Adam Matthews gave the visitors a first-half lead before Liam Henderson struck to secure the points in the second period.
"We worked really hard so it was a good victory and an important victory," Deila told the club's official website. "The second part of the season is starting now and we have started with a victory.
"Coming here is difficult and they had a couple of chances in set play. We scored two very nice goals and I hope Adam Matthews continues to do that. It'll make it a very fun season."
Celtic are back in action on Wednesday when they host Motherwell in the league.
