Icelandic forward Holmbert Fridjonsson has arrived in Glasgow to complete his £100,000 move from Fram to Celtic.
The 20-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Hoops and he will move to Parkhead on a three-year deal in January.
"He is very delighted," said Fridjonsson's agent, Olafur Gardarsson. "He went on trial with a club in Holland and he liked it there. But he liked it here. He felt very welcome and he obviously was liked by Neil Lennon, so he is very pleased.
"He is a striker that scores goals. I think he is a very promising player, to say the least. He is confident. He knows he has to work hard. The season in Iceland was over two months ago so he is not match fit.
"It is not easy to walk into a big club like Celtic. But he will do his best. Neil Lennon wouldn't be signing a player if he didn't like him."
Fridjonsson will not be able to play for Celtic until the New Year, but, as Iceland's domestic season is over, it is likely that the player will link up with the Scottish champions for training within the next fortnight.
