Celtic have reportedly expressed an interest in signing South Korea international Kim Young-gwon from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 25-year-old, who has made 34 appearances for his national side, will be out of contract in December, resulting in a number of Premier League sides being linked with a cut-price move for the centre-back.
According to the Daily Star, the Scottish champions are keen to bring the defender to Glasgow, but face competition from the likes of Southampton and Swansea City.
Celtic are expected to sign at least one defender with Jason Denayer returning to Manchester City after a season-long loan, and Virgil van Dijk being linked with a move away from the club.
