Scottish champions Celtic have made a £1.75m bid for Ivorian striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo, according to a report.
The Hoops have been left with one out-and-out striker for the second half of the season as Leigh Griffiths is absent for the forseeable future because of personal reasons.
Brendan Rodgers is keen to lift some of the weight off Odsonne Edouard's shoulders, with the youngster already being used 32 times in all competitions this season.
A report in the Scottish Daily Star suggests that Rodgers could bring in as many as three new attacking players next month, with unknown striker Bayo likely to be the first player to arrive at Celtic Park.
The Hoops are said to have tabled an offer for the 21-year-old, which Slovakian side DAC Dunajska Streda are unlikely to turn down.
Bayo, uncapped at senior level for the Ivory Coast national side, has 14 goals in 25 outings this season.
