Cesena have been relegated from Serie A after falling to a 3-2 defeat against Sassuolo this afternoon.
Gregoire Defrel gave the hosts the lead when he burst past the defence and rounded Andrea Consigli, before sliding the ball into the empty net.
They added a second goal just before the half-hour mark as Franco Brienza shifted the ball past Federico Peluso and slid a low effort past the keeper.
Sassuolo pulled a goal back three minutes into the second half through Simone Zaza, who collected Domenico Berardi's pass inside the box and turned onto his right foot before finishing past Federico Agliardi.
Within minutes, the visitors were level as Saphir Taider latched onto Berardi's ball and fired a strike into the back of the net.
In the 69th minute, the comeback was complete for Sassuolo as Simone Missiroli burst through the midfield and fired a strike into the top corner to put them into the lead for the first time.
Emmanuel Cascione saw a late effort saved, but the hosts were unable to find the net for a third time and their stay in Serie A ends after just one season.
