Novara have beaten bottom-of-the-table Cesena 3-0 thanks to a Marco Rigoni hat-trick which included two penalties.
Cesena started the better of the two teams and came close to an opener when Mario Santana's curling effort just went wide.
The hosts came into the game as the half wore on and Andrea Carracciolo nearly broke the deadlock when his header was well saved by Francesco Antonioli.
Novara were ahead after 28 minutes when Jeda was fouled by Giuseppe Colucci and Rigoni stepped up to smash the penalty home.
Cesena failed to react to the goal until deep into the second half when Roberto Guana nearly found a goal with a powerful strike from outside the area.
The hosts were awarded their second penalty of the match when Steve Von Bergen was adjudged to have handled insisde the area, giving Rigoni the opportunity to convert his second of the match and the striker duly delivered.
Rigoni wrapped up the match and completed his hattrick with five minutes remaining as he reacted to a loose ball inside the area to smash his shot past Antonioli.
