Charlton Athletic and Hull City have failed to break the deadlock in a quiet first half at The Valley in the Championship.
Both teams came into the game unbeaten in their first four matches in all competitions, but neither side was able to seize the initiative in a dull first 45 minutes.
With no real chances to speak of, the first quarter of the game was notable only for Charlton's Cristian Ceballos being forced off the pitch after a challenge with David Meyler, with Karlan Ahearne-Grant replacing the former Tottenham Hotspur man.
Both sides were restricted to long-range efforts on goal, with Meyler's volley being deflected out for a corner and Ahearne-Grant shooting wide after skipping past Michael Dawson.
The Addicks had the first genuine opportunity of the game a minute before the break when El-Hadji Ba flicked the ball into the path of Ahearne-Grant, but the substitute blazed over the bar from inside the penalty area.
