Derby County's winning run looks set to continue following a dominant first-half display at Charlton Athletic.
The Rams, who have won their last five games in the Championship, lead 1-0 at half time thanks to Jamie Ward's sixth goal of the season.
Ward found the net with a defected free kick from 25 yards on 32 minutes at the Valley.
Derby, who have been good value for their lead, threatened to score again just before the break, but Ben Alnwick made a decent save to deny Craig Bryson.
