Charlton Athletic manager Guy Luzon believes that side were not aggressive enough in their 3-1 home defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
Jordan Rhodes and Craig Conway put the away side into a 2-0 lead before Yoni Buyens gave the Addicks hope from the penalty spot.
Rhodes clinched the win for Blackburn, ending a run of three straight wins for Luzon's men.
He told BBC Sport: "We started the game well. The personal mistake in the goal that we conceded broke our spirit.
"In the second half we gave everything and tried to play positive and to create chances. And the problem today was our aggression in the defence. We played a little bit without aggression and also it was reflected in attack."
Charlton next face rock-bottom Blackpool on Tuesday.
