Belgian businessman Roland Duchatelet has completed his takeover of Championship side Charlton Athletic, the club have confirmed.
The deal, which is subject to legal formalities, sees the Staprix NV company owner take a 100% shareholding in the Addicks and will take over from outgoing chairman Michael Slater.
"In every important respect we leave the club in a far better state than when we took over three years ago, but now is the time to pass the baton to Roland who has a proven track record of success in business and football," Slater told the club's official website.
"We believe we have found an investor with extensive knowledge of football who is well placed to stabilise the club in the Championship and help the club to develop on a sensible commercial basis."
Richard Murray will remain on the board as non-executive chairman, while Tony Jimenez and Martin Prothero have stepped down with Slater.
