Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell has insisted that his side were ready to continue their match against Doncaster Rovers this afternoon.
The match was abandoned due to bad weather at half time with Rovers 3-1 up, and their manager Paul Dickov was unhappy with the referee.
Powell says that his players were ready to play the second half and insists that anything could have happened with Rovers reduced to 10 men.
"I think my players certainly responded to the position we were in," Powell told reporters. "Who knows what could have happened? Obviously we got a goal and they got a player sent off but we should never have got ourselves in that position.
"I prepared my team to go out at 3-1 because I felt it was the right thing to do. I know Paul Dickov will be despondent and rightly so, because if I was in that position I'd feel the same."
There has been no details as to when the game will be rescheduled yet.
