Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Charlton and bottom-placed Blackpool as the Tangerines look to build on their first win under Lee Clark.

The long wait for a win under Lee Clark is finally over for Blackpool, and they will be keen to build on their success when they take on Charlton Athletic this weekend.

The victory last Saturday - just Blackpool's second of the season - will have been particularly sweet for Clark having come against his former club Birmingham City.

There is still a huge mountain to climb for the Tangerines, however, with eight points separating them from safety and five from 23rd-placed Wigan Athletic.

Clark will be stressing to his side that the win over Birmingham will prove to be meaningless unless they can follow it up with more positive results, but to do that they will have to vastly improve their away record.

They are still without a win on the road this season, and have won just once on their travels in their last 26 away games, losing 17 of those.

The Seasiders have no new injury concerns for this match and, as a result, could name an unchanged side for the first time this season.

That could provide them with some of the stability that they have been sorely lacking in recent times, which could well help against a Charlton side also struggling for form at the moment.

The Addicks remained in the top half of the table with a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest last time out, but they have now won just one of their last seven matches.

Worryingly for manager Bob Peeters, they have also won just one of their last seven home games, although the recent 1-0 defeat to Ipswich Town was their first loss at The Valley this season.

Goals are also an issue for Charlton having found the net just once in their last three games, but Igor Vetokele has already scored more times this season than their top scorer in the previous campaign.

Stephen Henderson and Rhoys Wiggins are both closing in on returns for the Addicks but are unlikely to be fit in time for this weekend.

Charlton:

Recent form: DDWDLD

Possible starting lineup: Pope; Fox, Bikey, Ben Haim, Solly; Gudmundsson, Coquelin, Jackson, Cousins, Harriott; Vetokele

Blackpool:

Recent form: LDLDDW

Possible starting lineup: Lewis; Foley, Clarke, Nosworthy, Kennedy; Perkins, O'Keefe, O'Hara, Eagles; Murphy; Davies

Sports Mole says: 1-0
