Championship side Charlton Athletic have brought in experienced France international Alou Diarra on a deal until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old midfielder has been without a club since leaving West Ham United last summer.
"He will add some height, experience, and most of all, quality to the midfield," Addicks head coach Guy Luzon told the club website.
"We lost Milos [Veljkovic] to injury and Johnnie Jackson is out for a month, so he will help us to bring results and more points.
"It's a coup for us that we can attract a player with so much international experience and I'm sure he will be fantastic for us."
Diarra has 44 caps at international level for Les Bleus and has also captained the national side on five occasions.
He will wear the number 12 shirt and could make his debut in tomorrow night's trip to league leaders Derby County.
