Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that striker Samuel Eto'o will have to undergo a scan before the club can determine the extent of the injury suffered against Basel on Tuesday night.
Eto'o was stretchered off shortly before the break after pulling up with what appeared to be a groin injury, and Mourinho has revealed that Chelsea will have to wait 48 hours before finding out more news.
The 50-year-old told the club's official website: "Samuel has a muscular injury. We have to wait two days, we have to do scans. I don't know the dimension of it yet."
Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat in Switzerland, but still qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a game to spare.
