Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic believes that Chelsea were good value for their 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain this evening, even if they did have to rely on "fantastic" Thibaut Courtois at times.
The Blues will head back to Stamford Bridge with a vital away goal thanks to the Serbian's first-half header, although Edinson Cavani did manage to find a way through following the restart to set up a delicately poised second leg.
Courtois, given the nod over Petr Cech for this Champions League last-16 tie, produced a number of top-class saves, arguably the finest of which came late on to deny Zlatan Ibrahimovic's attempt on goal.
"We deserved the positive result," Ivanovic told Sky Sports News. "We have great defenders who always try to go for the goal and defend for the team but I think everyone did well today.
"PSG had three proper strikers play the game and it was very difficult to close everything down. Thibaut Courtois made amazing saves, at the moment we don't which of our goalkeepers [are better] - they are both fantastic and it a great feeling to have someone behind you who is doing something special."
The second leg will be contested in two weeks' time.
