Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho preferred not to dwell on Eden Hazard's exclusion in their 3-0 win against Schalke 04 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
The Portuguese coach opted to play Andre Schurrle in Hazard's usual position wide left, but the Blues manager praised Schurrle for his display, despite reports that the Belgium playmaker missed training recently.
"I prefer to say that Schurrle played a fantastic game for us," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.
"I prefer to say that we have a big squad with quality players and sometimes they are frustrated because they do not play every game and they are not first choice."
"Let's forget Eden because I didn't select him and on Saturday he will be with us in the team and he will be [available] to be selected."
The win took Chelsea top of Group E with nine points from four games.
