Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller has hinted that the best team didn't win following his side's defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The German international thought that he had won the match for his side when he headed in with seven minutes to play.
However, Didier Drogba struck in the 88th minute as the Blues went on to record a 4-3 triumph in a tense penatly shootout.
"That is football. We have seen it in the past: It is not always the better team that has the cup in the end," Muller told Sky Sports.
"When you score in front of your own fans so close to the end and then you watch Chelsea holding the cup, you can see that a lot has happened and feelings have changed. It was hard to find words for that. But football is not everything in life."
Chelsea's win was the first time in their history that they claimed the trophy.
