Juventus' Paulo Dybala ruled out of Chelsea Champions League clash

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirms that Paulo Dybala will miss Wednesday's Champions League clash with Chelsea through injury.

Juventus will have to cope without Paulo Dybala for Wednesday's Champions League group-stage battle with Chelsea.

The 27-year-old was named in the starting lineup for Sunday's win over Sampdoria and made the net ripple within 10 minutes before coming off injured midway through the first half.

Dybala left the field in tears as Juve saw out a 3-2 win without the Argentine - who was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski - and Massimiliano Allegri has now confirmed that the striker will miss out alongside fellow forward Alvaro Morata.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Allegri said: "We'll see how to play against Chelsea without Dybala and Morata. It's not a decisive game anyway. The key games for the qualification are those against Zenit."

With Dybala and Morata both unavailable, Allegri could turn to Kulusevski and Moise Kean to lead the line against the Blues in his traditional 4-4-2 setup.

Dybala has enjoyed a strong start to the new season with three goals and two assists from six games in all tournaments, and he is now set for further tests on the injury on Monday.
