The 26-year-old Chelsea defender was substituted after 19 minutes of England's 1-0 win over Belgium after colliding with Three Lions goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Frank Lampard, John Ruddy and Gareth Barry have already pulled out of England's Euro 2012 squad.
If Cahill's injury is serious, Roy Hodgson is likely to call on Adam Johnson or Daniel Sturridge to replace him in his 23-man party.
