Gary Cahill is confident that he will be fit to start for England in their match with Switzerland on Monday.
The Chelsea defender missed training on Friday with a minor ankle injury, but is hopeful that he will have recovered in time to feature in England's opening qualifier for the 2016 European Championships.
"I'm hoping to train tomorrow and if I train then I'll be fit for the game," he told reporters.
"I've got a bit of fluid on my ankle and the physios thought it would be better not to train today."
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is a more serious doubt for the Three Lions' trip to Basel.
