Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas has predicted a bright future for his national team after winning his 100th cap for the European champions.
Only nine players have made more Spain appearances than Fabregas, who captained his country in their final Euro 2016 qualifier against Ukraine in Kiev on Monday evening.
After the disappointment of the 2014 World Cup, Spain's challenge at major tournaments in the near future had been questioned, but Chelsea's Fabregas has said that "a very promising future awaits".
"These are the opportunities the coach has [to blood Isco and Thiago]. We played very well in the first half," AS quotes Fabregas as saying.
"They are young, they want to play, they want to please and we know the talent they have. A very promising future awaits the national team."
Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has recently admitted that he is going to find it difficult to pick his 23-man squad for Euro 2016.
