Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly send scouts to watch Lazar Markovic in action for Benfica against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow night.
The Blues were linked with the 20-year-old during the summer, but he ended up signing for the Portuguese club from Partizan Belgrade.
However, the Londoners were able to secure a first option on the attacking midfielder, according to the London Evening Standard.
The report added that Mourinho has continued to monitor the Serbian international and has issued another check on him at White Hart Lane.
It is thought that Markovic has a £33m release clause in his contract, but Chelsea may be able to secure his services for around £12.5m.
