Chelsea fans to be allowed to attend FA Cup semi-final?

Chelsea are reportedly set to have full support behind them at Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea could be set to have fans at Wembley for their FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace, according to a report.

The Blues are currently banned from selling any tickets to their supporters due to the sanctions placed on Roman Abramovich by the UK government, which saw them have nobody in the away end at the weekend in the quarter-finals.

Despite not having any of their own audience behind them, Thomas Tuchel's men were able to defeat Middlesbrough 2-0 to progress into the next round, where they will meet the Eagles.

According to BBC Sport, Chelsea could end up having their fans behind them in that game though, as the Football Association are working with the government to try and allow tickets to be sold.

"This includes tickets for Chelsea supporters for their match against Crystal Palace. We are working with the government on a method to achieve this whilst respecting the sanctions that are currently in place on Chelsea," an FA spokesperson has stated.

The Blues finished as runners-up in the competition last season, being defeated 1-0 by Leicester City.
