Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo insists that his team will do "whatever it takes" to reach the FA Cup final.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has insisted that his team will do "whatever it takes" and risk compromising their Champions League dreams to reach the FA Cup final.

Some pundits have claimed that Sunday's Wembley clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday is less important than the Blues' first-leg match against Barcelona 72 hours later.

Former Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle had even predicted that the Italian would select a weakened team. However, Di Matteo disagrees and has vowed to play his strongest XI.

"Whatever it takes for us to reach the final, we will do. We're not going to throw anything away, absolutely not," said Di Matteo.

"This is a massive game for the players, the team and for the club, and for our supporters. A big, big game for us.

"Nobody will have Barcelona at the back of their minds. We are going to be focused on the FA Cup on Sunday, to try and reach the final."

Captain John Terry is again expected to play, despite suffering from broken ribs.
