Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has confirmed that skipper John Terry will miss Sunday's FA Cup fifth-round tie against Manchester City because of a hamstring problem.
Terry was forced to sit out the Blues' Champions League last-16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday after injuring himself in the 5-1 win over Newcastle United, and he will again not be fit for City's visit.
"He will not be fit for this weekend," Hiddink told reporters this afternoon.
"I saw him this morning. He was with the physios yesterday trying a bit on the pitch, [but] still too many problems to be fit for the weekend."
Hiddink is hopeful that Terry will be able to return later this month against Southampton; when the veteran defender is back in the team it will be his 700th appearance for Chelsea.
