Leicester City are sweating over the fitness of Jonny Evans before Saturday's FA Cup final with Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.

The centre-back is nursing a foot injury and was not ready to face his former club Manchester United in midweek, but Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of having him back for the showpiece event.

Evans's fellow defenders James Justin and Wes Morgan are definitely out, though, while Harvey Barnes continues to recover from a serious knee injury and will watch on from the sidelines.

Evans would line up alongside Wesley Fofana and Caglar Soyuncu - the match-winner at Old Trafford - if he is passed fit, which would allow Timothy Castagne to feature further forward on the wings.

Castagne could therefore displace Luke Thomas - whose first Premier League goal on Tuesday was one to remember - while Ricardo Pereira should be fit enough to demote Marc Albrighton down the bench on the opposite flank.

Youri Tielemans and Wilfred Ndidi are indispensable in the middle of the park, and James Maddison ought to replace Ayoze Perez ahead of them after coming on for the final 10 minutes at Old Trafford.

Kelechi Iheanacho bagged the winner against Southampton in the semi-finals and will continue up top alongside Jamie Vardy, who by contrast is still waiting for his first goal in this season's tournament.
