Chelsea could find themselves in a three-way tie for fourth place by the time they face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night.
Arsenal and Manchester United are both three points behind the Blues and play on Tuesday night, and so the pressure could be on Maurizio Sarri's side to get a result when they resume league action.
Chelsea were beaten by the Gunners in their last top-flight outing and are looking to avoid a third consecutive away defeat across all competitions.
Here, Sports Mole looks at how Sarri could set his side up for the match.
Out: Marco van Ginkel (knee)
Doubtful: None
Chelsea could hand a first Premier League start to Gonzalo Higuain, who made his debut against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend following his arrival on loan from Juventus.
Willian's brace against the Owls should be enough to earn him another start ahead of Pedro, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is also in the mix netted one of his own in the FA Cup too.
The likes of Jorginho, Eden Hazard, N'Golo Kante, David Luiz and Kepa Arrizabalaga are all expected to return to the side after sitting out at the weekend.
There are no new injury concerns for Sarri to worry about, though, as long-term absentee Marco van Ginkel remains the only player currently sidelined.
