The pick of the Premier League fixtures this coming weekend sees Chelsea play host to top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Victory is the target for the defending champions if they are to maintain serious aspirations of overhauling their opponents for a spot in next season's Champions League.
Chelsea only hold claim to the sixth-best goalscoring stats in the top flight this term, scoring seven fewer than Spurs, meaning that an improvement is needed from the likes of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata.
Giroud is the player seemingly in possession of the central striking role, so with that in mind Sports Mole looks closely at the Frenchman's stats from previous meetings with the Lilywhites.
Each of Giroud's 10 encounters with Tottenham came during his Arsenal days, netting a rather disappointing two goals across those games, and none in his last seven.
Those two goals came in two of his first three meetings with the Gunners' arch-rivals, in fact, finding the net in back-to-back games at the Emirates Stadium to help his side to 5-2 and 1-0 wins respectively.
Giroud has totalled some 386 league minutes without finding the net against Tottenham, while also failing to make a telling difference in an EFL Cup third-round tie two-and-a-half years ago.
The France international's win-rate is also pretty underwhelming, having tasted victory in fewer than half of those 10 meetings during his Arsenal days.
