Chelsea have reportedly been handed a major injury boost with defender Trevoh Chalobah.
The 22-year-old only played an hour of last week's win at Watford before picking up a hamstring problem and was not involved in the weekend's defeat to West Ham United.
Chalobah was initially feared to be facing a lengthy spell out of action with the issue, but The Athletic reports that the centre-back is hoping to return to action next week.
The report adds that Chalobah will expect to be back on the pitch for the Premier League clash with Everton on December 16, but he will not be available to face Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Blues are currently making do without Ben Chilwell, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and the COVID-positive Mateo Kovacic, while uncertainty lingers over Marcos Alonso and Kai Havertz's availability.
Chalobah has made eight Premier League starts during his breakthrough season with Chelsea and has three goals to his name in all competitions this term.
