Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Reece James, Jorginho and Timo Werner are all injury doubts ahead of the trip to Watford.

The Blues face a run of three matches in less than a week, with the draw against Manchester United being followed by successive away trips to the Hornets and West Ham United.

At his pre-match press conference, Tuchel acknowledged that Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante would all be absent for the game at Vicarage Road.

The German then added that James, Jorginho and Werner would undergo late fitness tests before a decision was made on their availability.

Speaking to reporters, Tuchel said: "We have some players in doubt. We need a bit more time, a bit more examination to reevaluate this status.

"It's Reece James, Jorgi and Timo Werner. They all trained today with us and there will be some last-minute decisions about the three."

Chelsea head into the game in Hertfordshire holding a one-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings. body check tags ::
