Antonio Conte has confirmed that midfielder N'Golo Kante "is fine" and back in contention for Chelsea's trip to Crystal Palace this weekend following a recent health scare.
The France international collapsed after a training session last Friday and was ruled out for the meeting with Manchester City 48 hours later.
Suggestions that Kante may have an underlying health issue have been allayed by Conte, however, as the defensive midfielder returned to training at the start of the week and may now feature at Stamford Bridge.
"N'Golo is fine, he trained the whole week. He's in good form, yeah he's fine," he told reporters at his pre-match press conference. "On Friday it was very cold and after the training session he passed out briefly in the dressing room.
"After this situation, the doctor gave him many check-ups to understand his physical condition but it was all clear. On Sunday he was well [and could have played] but it was right not to take risks. He's okay and every check-up is okay, is perfect."
Kante has featured in 25 of Chelsea's 29 league games this term, while also appearing nine times in cup competitions.
