Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho reportedly has interest from five of Europe's biggest clubs amid the recent uncertainty surrounding his long-term future at Old Trafford.

The Argentina international was left out of the Red Devils squad for last weekend's Manchester derby, with Man United head coach Ruben Amorim unhappy with the forward's training performances and also his general demeanour around Carrington.

Garnacho has seemingly been recalled into the squad for Thursday's EFL Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur, but there has been intense speculation surrounding his future in recent days.

Atletico Madrid are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation, with the Red and Whites thought to be lining up an offer for a player who represented their youth academy between 2015 and 2020.

According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are also considering making moves for the 20-year-old next year.

Garnacho's long-term future at Man United 'is in doubt'

The report claims that Garnacho is not viewed as 'untouchable' at Old Trafford, although the Red Devils would be looking for a fee of at least £70m for the forward, who has eight goals and four assists in 24 appearances at club level this term.

Since breaking into the first team, Garnacho has scored 23 goals and registered 13 assists in 110 matches for the Red Devils, and he has a contract with the club until June 2028.

Marcus Rashford was also left out of the squad for the Manchester derby, but while Garnacho appears to be back in the fold for the clash with Tottenham, the same cannot be said for the Englishman.

A mid-season departure for Rashford is seen as probable, which makes it even more unlikely that Garnacho would leave in the winter, but an exit next summer cannot be completely ruled out.

Should Man United look to sell Garnacho?

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding Garnacho's suitability for Amorim's 3-4-3 system, as the forward's best work comes in a wide position, but he is being asked to move more central in the new formation.

His performances under Amorim have been mixed, but he did register against Bodo/Glimt at the end of November, and considering that he is only 20, a degree of inconsistency at this stage of his career is to be expected.

Garnacho is certainly one of Man United's most talented attackers, and unless there is a truly significant offer for him next summer, then he should be kept at Old Trafford.

The forward will be keen to move on from his derby snub as quickly as possible, and he is expected to be given plenty of chances to make his mark during the busy festive period.
