Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Pedro has been taken to hospital with suspected concussion following a clash with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina in Beijing.
The pair collided as Pedro chased a through-ball into the area and Ospina came to clear midway through the first half of Chelsea's 3-0 victory at the Bird's Nest Stadium.
The Spain international, who looked groggy and was bleeding, was treated on the pitch for a few minutes before leaving the field, youngster Jeremie Boga taking his place.
Conte revealed that Pedro went to hospital for further treatment, but is optimistic he will be able to join Chelsea on the next leg of their pre-season tour.
"For sure he should be okay. I think he had a concussion and for this reason our doctor preferred to bring him to the hospital and check him in the right way," he told reporters.
"It is a pity because in this period it is no good to have this type of injury but he is going to be okay and I am happy for this.
"I don't know [if he will spend the night in hospital], for sure he will stay here and if the situation is okay he will come with us tomorrow in Singapore."
Pedro has scored 21 goals in 83 games for Chelsea since joining from Barcelona in 2015.
