Sports Mole looks at the latest injury and suspension news for Chelsea ahead of Sunday's EFL Cup final against Manchester City.

Chelsea head into the EFL Cup final with Manchester City on Sunday having got back to winning ways with victory in the Europa League.

Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi all got on the scoresheet as Chelsea registered a 3-0 victory over Malmo in the second leg of their last-32 tie on Thursday night.

However, Maurizio Sarri still finds himself under pressure to keep his job at Stamford Bridge, and the Italian is aware that a heavy defeat to City may put him on the brink of the sack.

Here, Sports Mole looks at Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their encounter with the Premier League champions.

CHELSEA'S INJURY LIST

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Status: Doubtful
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 24

Kepa Arrizabalaga sustained a hamstring injury earlier this week and it kept the Spaniard out of the Europa League game on Thursday. The goalkeeper remains a huge doubt for the showdown at Wembley Stadium.

Pedro

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: February 24

Pedro also played no part against BATE due to stomach cramps. The Spaniard could be in contention for the weekend, but the winger may be restricted to a place on the bench.

Davide Zappacosta

Status: Doubtful
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: February 24

Davide Zappacosta has also been ill this week and it prevented the Italian from deputising for Cesar Azpilicueta on Thursday evening. The Italian is unlikely to feature in the 18-man squad.

Gary Cahill

Status: Doubtful
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: Unknown

Gary Cahill has been kept on the periphery of the first-team squad by Sarri since the start of 2019. The centre-back has been suffering with a back problem, but it is unclear whether the Englishman is now available for selection.

Danny Drinkwater

Status: Doubtful
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

Danny Drinkwater has not made a single competitive outing under Sarri, but the midfielder is said to be currently suffering with an Achilles injury.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no suspensions ahead of this game.
