How Chelsea could line up against Tottenham Hotspur

Ahead of Tuesday's EFL Cup tie between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, Sports Mole looks at how Maurizio Sarri's side could line up at Wembley Stadium.

Chelsea head into Tuesday's EFL Cup semi-final with Tottenham Hotspur looking to gain revenge for their 3-1 defeat at Wembley Stadium in November.

The Blues were comprehensively beaten on that occasion, but Maurizio Sarri's side have improved since losing out in North London.

Eight wins and two draws have come from the following 12 matches, although Chelsea have failed to score more than two goals in a game in 11 attempts.

Sarri has a number of selection dilemmas ahead of this contest, and here Sports Mole looks at how his team could line up against their London rivals.

Out: Olivier Giroud (ankle), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (back), Marco van Ginkel (knee)
Doubtful: Pedro (hamstring), Willian (knock), Mateo Kovacic (illness)

Olivier Giroud and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not play any part of Tuesday's game, but Sarri may be able to call upon both Pedro and Willian.

Pedro is due to return to training after a hamstring injury, although Willian appears more likely to start against Spurs after only sustaining a minor knock against Southampton last Wednesday.

Callum Hudson-Odoi could start should both players not be deemed fit enough to feature, with Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata expected to form the rest of the attack.

Mateo Kovacic should replace Ross Barkley if he has recovered from illness, while the back four is likely to consist of the players who regularly line up in the Premier League.

Kepa Arrizabalaga will take his place in goal having been rested for the FA Cup tie with Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
