Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is confident that he and his teammates can grab a first-leg advantage over Chelsea in their Capital One Cup semi-final at Anfield.

The Reds will take on Jose Mourinho's side, who currently have a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, on Tuesday night.

After a difficult start to the season though, Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures in all competitions.

"We're quite a young team with a lot of potential and confidence in the group is growing," Henderson told the Liverpool Echo. "I believe we can go and really put Chelsea under pressure.

"If we defend like we have been doing recently and we're really solid then we know we have the pace and the talent going forward to hurt them."

Brendan Rodgers's side head into the contest on the back of a 2-0 away win over Aston Villa.
