Roman Abramovich has allegedly not been short of interest in Chelsea after putting the Premier League club up for sale.
As a consequence of Russia's military invasion of Ukraine and sanctions which may come his way, Abramovich has decided to sell Chelsea as soon as possible.
The Russian billionaire is said to be demanding in excess of £3bn for the West London outfit, a valuation which may not necessarily be met given the circumstances.
Nevertheless, according to PA, there has already been strong interest in Chelsea and more offers are expected to follow in the near future.
While Abramovich would likely appreciate a quick sale, it is claimed that all offers will be assessed at a later date once it has been established which parties wish to follow up any initial interest.
As it stands, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and American investor Todd Boehly look most likely to be at the front of the queue, potentially as part of a consortium.
