Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that he only concentrates on taking "one game at a time".
Chelsea lost 1-0 at home to Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night to leave them 14 points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester United, but Benitez has revealed that he does not analyse where his side sit in the league table.
Benitez told reporters: "I haven't been worried about the league table, I've just talked about one game at a time and now it's the same situation.
"If you can't win your games it will be more difficult but the priority is to think about the next game and give the players the confidence that we had before.
"We have to do everything almost perfectly now if we want to reduce the gap. When you lose a game it's more difficult, but I can't be thinking about how many points we need."
Chelsea turn their attentions to the FA Cup this weekend when they travel to Southampton.
