Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly trying to convince Avram Grant to return to the club.

The Israeli coach managed the Blues in the 2007-08 campaign following the departure of Jose Mourinho, leading them to the Champions League final before they were eventually beaten on penalties by Manchester United.

Abramovich wants Grant back at Stamford Bridge in what would be an advisory role, according to The People.

Grant's role would reportedly involve identifying summer transfer targets.
