Chelsea have reported record profit of £18.4m for the fiscal year ending in June.
The figure was attributed to a new TV broadcasting deal and player sales, such as Juan Mata's big-money departure to Manchester United.
This is only the second time Chelsea has turned a profit in the 10 years the club has been under the ownership of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
"By reaching the Champions League semi-final and maintaining a challenge in the Premier League until the final week of the season we demonstrated that, while improving our financial figures, we remained competitive in football's toughest club competitions," said Blues chairman Bruce Buck.
Chelsea have made an unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign, sitting four points clear at the top of the table.
