The Chelsea Pitch Owners' Association (CPO) are prepared to snub the club's relocation plans at a meeting later this month, according to reports.
The Blues have written to all members of the CPO with the request of releasing their freehold of Stamford Brige, in order to allow the club to relocate to a new stadium in the near future.
However, the supporters are expected to veto the sale of the ground to owner Roman Abramovich at an EGM on Thursday, October 27.
Abramovich, who has offered £1.2m for the shares, promises that the club will not move outside of three miles from their current home if the relocation takes place prior to 2020.
The club are understood to have looked at a number of sites, with Earls Court and Battersea Power Station the reported favourites.
