Antonio Conte has admitted that Bournemouth "deserved to win" against Chelsea in Wednesday night's Premier League meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Callum Wilson put the visitors ahead on 51 minutes before Junior Stanislas and former Blues youngster Nathan Ake made sure of all three points in a 3-0 victory over the reigning champions.
Bournemouth, who had not won away since a 1-0 victory at Newcastle United on November 4, restricted their opponents to just five shots on goal, and Conte admits that his side "struggled a lot".
"I think they deserve to win the game and I'm right to say this, they deserve to win the game and we tried to do something but today it was very difficult for us even in the first half when the result was 0-0, I think we struggled a lot," the Italian told BBC Sport.
"[We struggled] for many reasons, but it's not important to speak about excuses, they deserve to win and we need to restart to work and to do our best. We have to accept it's a bad result and understand that we have to fight this season, if someone didn't understand this they don't understand football. Football is not simple."
The shock result sees Chelsea drop to fourth in the table, 18 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
