Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has admitted that he didn't feel 'secure' in including striker Fernando Torres in the national squad.
Torres has struggled in front of goal for Chelsea this year, scoring just two goals in 2013, and Del Bosque has revealed that he didn't feel at ease with the forward's inconsistency.
The World Cup winner told reporters: "Especially for strikers, inconsistency worries us and Fernando's inconsistency provoked a sense of insecurity in us."
The 28-year-old has scored 31 goals in 101 appearances for Spain since making his debut in 2003.
