Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly could reportedly join Roberto Di Matteo's coaching staff at the club.
It is understood that Di Matteo wants the Frenchman to join him as the fourth member of his coaching staff, with Eddie Newton and Steve Holland expected to stay on.
According to Goal.com, Desailly's role will involve coaching the defence as the Blues look to build on their success last season.
Desailly has reportedly rejected the chance to manage Ghana on three separate occasions.
