Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has admitted that his side missed captain John Terry after he was substituted before half-time against Liverpool.
The central defender, who scored after 20 minutes, suffered a knee injury at Stamford Bridge in their Premier League encounter that eventually ended in a 1-1 draw.
"Well, you saw how he started the game," Di Matteo told Sky Sports News when asked if his side was affected by Terry's departure.
"He was old fashioned with his quality and experience and obviously scored the goal as well. Certainly he's very influential in our game and our team and certainly we miss him."
Chelsea are now third in the league table with 24 points from 11 matches, three points behind leaders Manchester United.
